Last updated: March 01, 2023

New Features and Capabilities

  • Support SSL (PostGIS connection): OpenCities Map now support SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a protocol for establishing secure links between networked computers. We add capabilities in OpenCities Map to utilize SSL enabled PostgreSQL/PostGIS instance from Azure.
  • Edit Features Definition: A graphical interface to modify the detailed features definition directly from OpenCities Map.
  • Dynamic configuration update: Make sure that at any time, a user is using the most up-to-date feature definition while working in OpenCities Map.
  • Register feature upgrade (improvement): Enhance the feature registration process in OpenCities Geospatial Administrator (GSA) so that features from a spatial database can be associated with existing feature definition in the GSA schema.
  • Feature inference rules | Rules Generator: A tool that generates rules by scanning the elements of the file and classifying them according to their level and type of geometry. Cells are classified independently by their name.
  • Feature inference rules | Symbology's Inferred Property values: A second level of rules that infers values for feature business properties based on their geometry attributes.
